Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment do you repair and install?
Commercial refrigeration, cooking equipment, ice machines, commercial dishwashers, blast chillers, and food-preparation equipment — repair, installation, and preventive maintenance. That is the work we do every day.
Do you work on residential equipment?
No. Rox Services is commercial only. We do not provide residential service, and we do not offer general electrical or plumbing services.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. If a piece of equipment is down, call (503) 509-2026 during business hours and dispatch will give you the earliest realistic option.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?
We do not advertise 24/7 service, and we will not promise what we cannot staff. When we accept an emergency job, emergency labor is billed at $300/hour for the first business day, then at our standard rate. Call (503) 509-2026 and dispatch will tell you plainly what is possible before you commit.
How is service priced?
Labor is billed at $160/hour plus the applicable service fee, and travel is covered by a flat zone fee based on distance — we do not stack hourly drive time on top of labor. Parts are additional. You approve the repair before we proceed beyond diagnosis.
Do you give flat-rate quotes?
No — and here is why. A commercial equipment fault hides behind panels and error codes; a flat guess protects nobody. We diagnose first, tell you what we found and what the repair takes, and bill the work at our stated rates.
What does preventive maintenance include?
A scheduled visit where our technicians inspect, clean, test, and service your equipment — before small wear becomes a shutdown. Customers on a preventive maintenance agreement over $749.99 have their service fees waived under the agreement. Ask dispatch for a PM quote built on your equipment list.
Do you use OEM parts?
We lead with OEM or manufacturer-approved parts whenever they are the right fix for the equipment and the timeline. If you supply your own part, we can discuss installing it — but customer-supplied parts are not covered by our warranty, and a signed disclaimer is required first.
How do I book service?
Call dispatch at (503) 509-2026, email dispatch@roxservices.com, or use the Book Service button to reach our customer portal. New customers: we will set up your account and confirm payment details before any equipment is ordered.
What areas do you serve?
The Portland metro area, from our Beaverton shop — including Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Lake Oswego, and surrounding communities. Travel is priced by flat zone, so you know the trip cost up front.
